About in2win

The idea behind the app is to use Gamification to help advertise products, services, and businesses. Users have the ability to engage with the app on their phone and on Kiosks (at select locations) to play games and earn rewards like coupons and gift cards.

About Development

My time working on in2win was brief, but I still accomplished a lot during that time.

The biggest undertaking was adjusting to the code base. The app was created by a separate company that documented little to nothing about the work they had done on the app, so going into this project there were a lot of unknowns.

Most of my time working on in2win was spent bug fixing for version 3.5. The previous company that worked on it left the app in disarray, leaving me and my two other associates to try to figure out the code base as we went through and fixed bugs.  We managed to vastly improve the code base in just two months, along with adding in new features and doing Visual and UI changes.

We launched version 3.5 of the app on both Mobile (IOS and Android) and on Kiosk in time for their launch in New York.

Project RainMaker

This was my first assignment before I shifted my focus onto the in2win app. A game based on the Skittles brand that was a heavily modified version of one of our existing games "Fish Hunter" (see screen shots above) that would be shown to Mars Candy to pitch in2win kiosks built for their brands.

I gutted mostly everything away from the base game, only keeping the Trail/Touch Screen controller, I created my own scoring system with combos, a hazzard, a special item, and a different results screen. RainMaker went through multiple changes over the course of its short development as I worked with multiple artists and higher-ups at Priatek to nail down what it should be. While this game isn't finished, it still feels like a product that could be shown off to Mars Candy.
