Space Race

About Development

Space Race was created in two days for the Indy Galactic Space Jam 2017. The gameplay revolves around the player controlling a space ship flying to the moon while avoiding asteroids and debris. You can increase the rocket speed by going through the three stages of the rocket. The faster you go the more stars you get upon completion.

I was the lead on this project and worked on the Menus, UI, the win state/goal of the game, and the asteroids and debris.

​

  • The win/goal state of the game is to get to the moon as fast as possible, depending on how fast you are you can achieve one of three stars.

  • The asteroids and debris fall randomly from above the camera and damage the player on impact.

Along with this work I managed a team of two artists, a sound designer, and another game designer.
